The United States Senate is still stinging from a sharp rap on the knuckles. The American people are at long last, beginning to exercise their constitutional prerogative as sovereigns over their still young republic and have begun to call out their impertinent servants in Washington.   C-Span, talk radio, the blogosphere, 24-hour news networks, they are all functioning as a kind of nanny cam, making it more difficult for these dishonest servants to steal the china. 

    The debate over the "Grand Compromise" immigraton reform bill,  gave citizens a clear look at who is truly acting to preserve and defend this nation and who, on the other hand, is willing to betray  his master for 30 pieces of silver.  it is  little wonder that these latter-day Iscariots squealed at the suggestion of a public illumination of  the bill's obscure tenets. Tenets that pitted the self interests of  a cadre of organized groups against the will and well-being of American citizens.  The bill was a crude exercise in trickery and deceit.  A carefully craftedl fraud on America with a goal of  "totalizing" America's hard-won prosperity with that of corruption-mired Mexico. The bill was a boon for scroogy business owners and for those closet reconquistas but a economic and cultural gutting of  Ameican families - both native and immigrant, both present and future.. 

     But Americans fought back and when the collective will of the American people manifests inself, heaven help the object of their wrath.  As if the boorish pontifications of the Cape Cod intelligentsia weren't enough, American ire was further inflamed by the  revealing comments of soon-to-be ex-Senator Lindsey Graham who, in his pandering speech before a gathering of razistas announced, "we're going to tell the bigots to shut up" as he proclaimed Americans to be non-owners of their country.  Then, our I-held-my-nose-when-I-voted-for him president instructed Americans that if they didn't agree to permanently hand over their sovereignty to him and his globalist goons, then they just "don't want to do what's right for Amer'ca.".  Such things happen when politicians assume their high office gives them greater wisdom than the people who actually read the bill..  

    Upon hearing such nonsense, middle America stood up with one voice.  Hundreds of thousands - pehaps millions - of emails, faxes, petitions and phone calls flooded the offices of the Senate, virtually drowing out the hisses and moans of the K street snake charmers for all but the hardcore tone-deaf vote dealers. But when evening fell and after-dinner wishbone was pulled apart, the people won. America will survive another day..  

    So ended the first skirmish in what will be a long struggle!   The present generations of Americans must, and will, rise to defend this great country from the growing threat.  Just remember, It was not you who built this shining city on a hill.  It is the product of your progenitors. This most glorious legacy, this sacred covenant arc that is your America, was desgned by the hand of divine providence, forged by toil and pain, preserved with unyielding hope and Christian charity, and delivered to you on the shoulders or heroic comrades in arms.

    Each new generation of Americans, whether by birth or by adoption ,are stewards - protectors of the nation.  Will this generation fulfill it's duty or will it's view become so clouded by misplace compassion, that  it cannot see the a threat regardless?  Can it  be seen through such dark glass that those adversaries who oppose America, seeking to erase her mother tongue, her culture, and her quality of life, are not the arrayed armies of the past, but new insidious adversaries who slowly, and with measured resolve, conspire to win over a sleeping city, block by block, just as if they had conquered her in battle?   Will America hang by a thread before her citizens arise from their slumbers? 

     No!  Not on this generation's watch!    This generation of Americans is awakening and proclaiming with a crescendo that this republic, this nation, this land that cradles the bones of our fathers and our mothers, will be neither surrendered, nor merged, nor acquired - not now, not ever!

     So who are the heroes hour?  There are many, not the least of which are impassioned souls who telephoned, faxed, emailed and blogged a message of  "Kill the Bill"..  And, who are the hero-statesmen who listened and respoined?  A look at the roll call vote on cloture reveals that there are 50 senators who stood up to the power brokers in the senate, and resisted the unrelenting enticements of the frantic vote-pimps .

    These 50 Spartans stood up and voted "No - I will not so easily yield my virtue and my nation - nor will I betray the trust of my fellow Ameicans". These honorable representatives of tthe people have earned our contratulations for standing up for America.  Particularly deserving are those Democrats who defied their own party captains and honored their oath of office and pledge of allegiance to the republic..
